About Great Blue Fiber

Great Blue Fiber is a studio dedicated to the art of handwoven textiles, designed and created by artist Jenny Walton in Queenstown, Maryland. Each tapestry and wall hanging is crafted using a blend of natural, mixed, and sustainable fibers, resulting in work that is both timeless and distinctly original.

Jenny’s collections include coastal boho wall hangings, earthy design, and finely crafted home accents. Her pieces are often commissioned for private residences and curated spaces, with a limited selection available through her Etsy shop.

Every work is created with an emphasis on bringing joy and thoughtful design—weaving together rich texture, nuanced color, and refined technique. Using premium fibers such as wool roving, hand-dyed yarns, and recycled silks, each piece is a singular expression of craftsmanship and artistry.

Collaborating closely with clients, Jenny designs wall hangings that complement and elevate their surroundings, creating pieces that feel both intentional and enduring.

Commissions & Workshops

In addition to her studio practice, Jenny offers select weaving workshops and has shared her craft throughout the Maryland Eastern Shore, including Annapolis, Centreville, Baltimore and local art stores, schools, and councils.
